Veterans tuition assistance programs can make the cost for many Pitt veteran students more affordable. Eligible individuals can also receive in-state residency for tuition purposes and in-state tuition for veterans and dependents (per Section 702 of the Choice Act and PA state Act 11).
Scholarships and various awards are available to Pitt military-affiliated students through the Office of Veterans Services.
Veteran students receive course scheduling preference at public institutions of higher education in Pennsylvania.
OVS coordinates with local employers to find opportunities for veterans. In addition to hosting Employer Networking workshops, OVS fosters relationships with employers in order to identify job openings that are well suited for Pitt's veteran students.
