University Counseling Center

Any student interested in receiving support at the University Counseling Center should utilize our Drop-In Services by calling 412-648-7930 Monday-Friday, between 9am-4pm. You will be asked to first complete paperwork online before meeting with a clinician to discuss your unique needs and develop a personalized care plan. You have the option of meeting with a clinician in-person or virtually.
 
If it’s determined, through a collaborative discussion, that you may benefit from our services, you’ll have the option of in-person, virtual or hybrid services.

Clinic Without Walls

The mission of Clinic Without Walls is to provide affordable, long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy to individuals in the Greater Pittsburgh community, which will enhance their level of social and occupational functioning and productivity within the community.

There is a reduced fee of $25.00 per session. There is no limit placed on the number of sessions in which the individual may be seen.

STAR College Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

We realize that the transition from high school to college is an important developmental milestone in the path from adolescence to adulthood. Students with mood and anxiety disorders often need additional support in this process. Therefore, in 2017, the STAR - Center extended clinical services by creating the STAR College Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for depressed, anxious, and/or suicidal undergraduate college students, ages 18-24.

Therapy Dog Days at OVS

Once per month, OVS has 1-2 registered therapy dogs come to the office to spend time with students. Our top two visitors are Odin the Black Labrador (Owner Tom, Army Veteran) and Corky the Golden Retriever (Owner Linda).
