VR&E Information

In order to receive payments for your Chapter 31 benefits:

  1. Upon completion of your Rehabilitation Plan, your Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) will provide our office with an authorization form confirming your eligibility for Chapter 31 benefits.
  2. Provide our office with an Enrollment Certification Request Form for each term that you intend to use VA Education Benefits.
  3. Your VRC must submit an invoice in Tungsten for the term.  In addition to your tuition, this invoice may include your books and supplies, but this is determined by your VRC.
  4. After this invoice is approved, we retrieve this document and process it to the bookstore for you. Books and supplies can be purchased by visiting the information desk, located near the help desk device support kiosk.
  5. For specific, service-connected purchasing considerations, please contact your VRC before visiting the bookstore. A separate purchase authorization is required from your VRC for billing purposes. 

IMPORTANT: VRCs can be reached by contacting the PGH VR&E Office at 412-395-6070. Enrollment Certification Request Forms should be sent to veterans@pitt.edu.
